Recently, the team at Brick, Jones, McBrien & Hickey had the opportunity to volunteer at Rosie’s Place, helping prepare and serve a meal for members of our community.
Rosie’s Place has served poor and homeless women in the Boston area since 1974, offering meals, housing assistance, advocacy, and a range of other services designed to help women meet their basic needs and build better lives. Spending an afternoon there was a meaningful reminder of the impact that consistent, community-based support can have.
We were grateful for the chance to contribute and support the important work Rosie’s Place does every day, and we look forward to finding more ways to stay involved.
In Massachusetts, 1 in 10 residents lives in poverty, and 1 in 3 adults are considered food insecure. Organizations like Rosie’s Place provide critical support to individuals and families when they need it most, often serving as a first point of contact for people navigating housing instability, hunger, or other hardship.
Volunteering is one way our Firm gives back to the communities we serve, and days like this are a good reminder of how much local organizations rely on hands-on support to keep their work going.
If you’re able, we encourage you to learn more about Rosie’s Place and the many ways you can get involved or contribute here.
